Dr Lee is the Medical Director of Shinagawa Eye Centre, Singapore.

He has many years of experience as an eye doctor. Prior to this, he was the Head of the Cornea Service at the National University Hospital Eye Centre, where he performed cataract surgeries, cornea transplants, LASIK and Epi-LASIK surgeries. He was instrumental in setting up Shinagawa Eye Centre in 2008 - designing the layout of the centre, acquiring equipment and training the staff.

Dr Lee is one of a few doctors in Singapore who holds a Bachelors, Masters and also a Doctorate degree in Medicine. His degrees in Medicine and Surgery are from Singapore. His postgraduate degrees in Ophthalmology are from Singapore and United Kingdom. He has completed two fellowships, one in USA at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and one in Toronto, Canada.

He is Fellowship trained in the field of Cornea and Refractive (LASIK) Surgery, which means that he has special interest in treating dry eyes, contact lens problems, allergic eye disease and all aspects of refractive (LASIK) surgery. He also has a keen interest in myopia control in children. He has been invited to many International Conferences to speak on various eye diseases and their treatment. He has published many research papers in international peer reviewed journals and is a reviewer of articles submitted to research journals for publication. He is also the winner of four research awards in various research meetings and has been awarded several research grants from the National Medical Research Council.
